Fees
$95 – Paid through the online application system. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Examination Information
There is no examination requirement for Interns.
Eligibility Requirements
- Read and understand the Code of Massachusetts Regulations (CMR) pertaining to eligibility requirements.
- Have completed at least two years of academic curriculum in an ACPE-accredited PharmD program OR be a foreign graduate with authorization from NABP.

Q. How many intern hours are required for licensure in the state of Massachusetts?
A: There is a minimum of 1500 hours.
Q. What if I was educated in a foreign country?
A: Before applying, you must contact NABP to be approved to take the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE). You do not have to take the exam first; you only need to be approved to take it.
Q: If I answered ‘yes’ to conviction or Good Moral Character (GMC) question on the application, what should I submit?

Q: I worked as an intern in Massachusetts but I want to be licensed in another state, how do I get my intern hours transferred?
A Verification of Licensure can be downloaded immediately and for free.
If either the downloaded version is not acceptable to the recipient or there is an out-of-state verification form that requires Board completion, complete the online application to Request a Certified Statement of Registration and provide the $15 non-refundable and non-transferable fee.
Q: I worked intern hours in another state, how do I get those transferred to MA?
A: Contact the Board of Pharmacy of the state worked in as an intern and have them write a letter to PCS on their letterhead and show how many hours were recorded.

A: Yes.
