At PCS, we take pride in all of our services including our examination scoring and reporting services. Scoring and reporting may not be the first or last piece of the overall process, but it is one that candidates and our clients pay a lot of attention to. Our scoring service supports both paper-based and computer-based examinations. On the client side, we issue written and oral reports on a timely basis as directed by our clients and provide examination information for review and approval prior to releasing to candidates. We take care of our clients' candidates as well. Once a testing candidate has taken his/her examination, PCS prepares and distributes examination score notices to testing candidates, and when appropriate, strength and weakness reports to failing candidates. Each test question that is entered into our item banking system will be linked to the content area or test specifications, and the score report for failing candidates will provide their performance within each individual content area. Thus, the score report will indicate the name of the content area, the number of questions in the content area and the number of questions that the candidate answered correctly. This will provide the failing candidate with the ability to understand their strength and weaknesses in the different content areas to assist them with future study. We also prepare statistical reports of candidate examination performance for clients and schools on a daily basis.
