
Dr. James Lehman
Director of Test Development and Psychometrics
Dr. James (Jim) Lehman joined PCS as the Director of Psychometrics and Test Development in April, 2012. Dr. Lehman received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in Research Methods and Evaluation and his experience in test development includes positions with Thomas Edison State College, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Price Waterhouse Coopers and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Lehman is responsible for assessing, nurturing and growing current and future Test Development opportunities for PCS.
Most recently, Jim was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he taught Survey of Research Methodology. Prior to being a professor at Capella, Jim was the Test Innovations Specialist / Senior Psychometrician for the American Board of Internal Medicine located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There he led projects developing new types of assessments, including multimedia, medical case simulation, and high-fidelity simulations directed toward increasing the fidelity of assessment tasks to medical practice; formed the fidelity work group and was charged with identifying projects and seeing them through to completion; contributed to the creation of an innovations development & implementation model; planned and executed projects to bring image zooming to items in the Pulmonary Disease examination, which was the first project of the fidelity work group.
