FE and FS Candidates

Beginning in January 2014 the FE and FS examinations will be delivered in a computer-based testing (CBT) format. The examinations will be offered in two month testing windows four times a year. Candidates may take the examination one time per testing window, but no more than three times in a twelve month period.

FE and FS candidates who wish to be certified with the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations (VA DPOR) Board may register with NCEES (www.ncees.org) beginning November 4, 2013. Candidates will pay NCEES the exam fee when scheduling their exam with NCEES. Candidates will then take their examination at a Pearson VUE testing location.

Upon receipt of a passing examination status you must apply with the VA DPOR at http://www.dpor.virginia.gov/boards/apels/ to begin the certification process.
