Beginning in January 2014 the FE examination will be delivered in a computer-based format. The examination will be offered in two month testing windows four times a year. Candidates may only take the examination one time per testing window and no more than three times in a twelve month period.
FE candidates who would like to be certified in Maryland should contact the Maryland Board regarding eligibility (http://www.dllr.state.md.us/license/pe/). Approved FE candidates may register with NCEES (www.ncees.org). Candidates will pay NCEES the examination fee and schedule their examination in their NCEES account. Candidates will take their examination at a Pearson VUE testing location.
Upon receipt of a passing examination status candidates will then contact the Maryland Board (http://www.dllr.state.md.us/license/pe/) to begin the certification process.
